Expert on dynamic pricing initiatives for electric utilities to provide clients with demand side management and energy efficiency solutions. Dr. Eric Woychik has joined Black & Veatch’s growing management consulting division as a Director in its Energy Strategy Practice to expand the company’s capabilities in assisting electric utility clients.

“Electric utilities face continued uncertainty as it relates to federal, state and local regulations on greenhouse gases and power generation facilities. As a result, we are experiencing a rapidly growing interest in demand response initiatives as a cost-effective means for meeting future electrical demand,” said Russell A. Feingold, a Vice President within Black & Veatch’s management consulting division. “Eric is a widely recognized industry expert in this field and will help our clients develop integrated business solutions and strategies that incorporate leading-edge concepts, such as Smart Grid, into their future operating plans and regulatory proposals.”

In his new role, Woychik will advise electric utility clients on critical issues such as pricing, demand response, market structure and regulatory policy. Prior to joining Black & Veatch, Woychik was the President and founder of a management consulting firm where he focused on a wide range of energy consulting assignments for electric utilities.
